The Media and Sharon Hill Lines

The Media and Sharon Hill Lines
The Media (101) and Sharon Hill (102) lines connect 69th Street Terminal, just outside Philadelphia, with the suburbs to the West and Southwest.  The lines start out together in the median of Garrett Road, after leaving the terminal.  They run together until Drexel Hill Junction, where the Media Line heads west and the Sharon Hill Line turns south.  Both lines operate in a variety of settings, including private rights of way, medians, and mixed traffic.  There are also many grade crossings.  The Media and Sharon Hill lines are  equipped with double-ended light rail vehicles built by Kawasaki in 1981.
