Sphynx cats and kittens from Barebods cattery may appear at first to have come from another planet but we can assure you that our Sphynx cats and kittens are bred right here in our home, on Earth. We are Sphynx breeders and our Sphynx cats and kittens are as close to hairless as you will find in an earthly cat. Sphynx cats are known for their playfulness and devotion to their owners and have been described as part child, part monkey. The Sphynx enjoys being the center of attention and will entertain you with their antics. A true extrovert, the Sphynx makes friends easily with other animals. Some say that Sphynx cats look like ET, Gremlins or Egyptian gods, regardless it takes but minutes to warm to these friendly cats. The Sphynx cat (not to be confused with Sphinx or Spynx) feels like a warm peach and will enjoy snuggling on your lap more so than many other cat breeds. Our sphynx cats and kittens make wonderful pets.
We have been breeding cats for almost two decades and maintain our Sphynx cats and kittens in a loving home environment, free of any feline diseases. Awarded both the CFA Cattery of Excellence and TICA Outstanding Cattery we are also participants in Tica's voluntary breeder program.

Sphynx cats are for the discriminating cat lover and may not be for everyone, Sphynx cats are strictly indoors animals and we DO NOT allow declawing of our kittens (see link on declawing for more information) Although the Sphynx have no coat some routine maintenance is required such as bathing, manicures (with hugs) and ear cleaning. Sphynx cats and kittens feel temperature changes as you would if you had no clothes on and are subject to sunburn so it is advisable to avoid these extremes.
