Brad's Home Page
So Hi and Welcome! The above picture is
myself and a few of my friends. From Left to right: Phil, Al, Brad (me)
and Quentin.. We are 1976 graduates of Hall High School in West Hartford.
This picture was taken by a waitress at the Ground Round in July of 2000.
Phil was in town and we all met for lunch.
Some of my Interests
Through the years in Hartford I learned to love
hockey. The Whalers were my team! Click the Whalers logo to
learn about the team
.
So I also really enjoy cars. I have a Hot
wheels collection from my childhood (all red lines) and have owned may
cars over the years. If you want the low down on my love of cars
click
here.
Some of my favorite cars as a child were
amblers.

Another Friend
From Left to Right: Hazel (Bill's Mom) Bill, Sandy (My Wife), Me and
Kassie (My daughter)
The above picture was taken on our yearly trip to Cape Cod. Bill
and I graduated high school together and our friend ship goes all the way
back to 6th grade when Bill and his family moved from Hartford to West
Hartford. Bill moved to West Barnstable after he graduated collage
and we stop in every year for a picnic on the way to our time share.
We have been doing this since 1995 and have always had wonderful weather.
When I was in Cub Scouts they held a Rocket Derby.
I think this event went away after the moon race was won. The Rocket
Derby was similar to the Pine Wood Derby. Rockets propelled by rubber band
driven propellers on the nose of the rockets were used in place of the
cars. The rockets had two metal rods with hooks on the end that attached
to fishing line strung between two saw horses. 4 or 5 rockets raced
at once. You would wind the rubber band and let the rocket glide down the
wire. My rocket was a deep purple with a silver capsule on the end.
It was really slick. My grandfather had a machine shop down in the
basement of our house I used with my dad to make the rocket. Very
aero. The rocket was wide at the base and tapered to a perfect point.
This is me in 1967 receiving my Cub Scout Rocket
Derby trophy. My dad helped me build the rocket but was out of town
when the contest took place. My friend's dad (Jim from above) showed
me how to wind the rubber band attached to the propeller to make the rocket
fly faster. I don't remember the details but the rocket was really
fast winding the band per Jim's dad suggestion. In fact it never
lost a round!!!! Till this day I still here from Jim how he
should have won that contest. Thanks Mr. R!!!!!!!.
NASCAR Racing it pretty cool. Did
you know you could select a Nascar team and compete with other fans for
points? It's really fun. Come on give it a try! NASCAR
Championship Challenge. If you want to see my team and how I
am doing (rotten so far) you can find me at the CT Racers Group.
