"Thank you. Thank you!"

"Wow," looking down at podium, "You know, and it

really says it here -- in Los Angeles, Gail Fisher for

MANNIX!"

Audience laughter

"Well, I don't know what to say. Uh it's, needless to say, a very

exciting and most emotional moment for me. I am just so very proud!

And I've been watching these for thousands and thousands and thousands

of years and everyone gets up, they say, and they thank their mother and

they thank their father, and they thank their agent…well I ain' gonna be

any different if you know what I mean!"

Audience laughter

"There are so many people that went in to this: the crew of MANNIX, my

producers Ivan Goff, Ben Roberts, uh, Bruce Geller. And of course the

man I work with, Mike Connors, who's just beautiful!"

Audience applause, shot of Mike smiling big

I would also like to thank my agent, Ina Bernstein, and Marilyn Reese,

who's my PR lady, and CBS, and Paramount and eveybody.

My husband for having the patience to put up with me. But, above all,

I thank the Academy, and just everyone involved, and PEACE to the world,

and peace within ourselves. Thank you!"
