The Bentley works model aircraft flying club, Crewe, Cheshire, has been established since control line days. The club originally served as a focus for the interests of aero modellers who worked at the Bentley (formerly Rolls Royce Bentley) factory in Crewe, but today the club also welcomes all other aero modellers of any age who live or work in Crewe, Sandbach and surrounding areas.
We are a fixed wing only, I.C. and Electric, Radio Control Model Aircraft Club, there being a separate R C Model Helicopter Flying Club operating locally at Sandbach for the rotary men.
We have an active membership of all ages and we welcome new members of any age and flying ability.
We fly R C models at the King George the Fifth playing fields at Crewe and on private field at Arclid near to Sandbach. The Arclid field has a mown grass landing strip, is open 5 days a week and there are no nearby trees to intimidate the beginner.
The Club rules regarding flying times, safety, access, etc, are in accordance with the 'British Model Flying Association' guidelines. New flyers please note; the Arclid field frequency pegboard is operated on 'EVEN FREQUENCIES ONLY'
Flying Times: Tue - Fri. 10.00 am - 8.00 pm;
