Berwick Family Centre is an independent, self financing project. It was set up to address the needs of (and issues that affect) children and their families living in the Borough of Berwick upon Tweed.. We are a registered charity, with 5 full-time and 2 part-time qualified staff, supported by a team of trained volunteers. The Project Manager is Angela Elvin.

Aims

The project aims to provide facilities for the daily care and recreation of children out of school hours and during school holidays, to promote good health, and to advance education. A community development approach is used, which enables local people to play a central role in the work of the project. We aim to work alongside the statutory and voluntary agencies e.g. Health, Education and Social Services, to provide a more comprehensive and efficient service to families in the Berwick Area.
