Bet you never saw one of these before! Yes it is a Healey and here is the story.....

The Bluegrass Club held a car display at the Carl Casper Custom Car Show in February 1993. Six Healeys and 300 Street Rods, it was not our crowd.

Along comes a guy, looks at the books we have displayed on a table promoting the marque and announces "I have one of these out by the barn, anybody want to buy it?' pointing to a picture of the Jamaican in "Austin-Healey 100 & 3000". Well it's cold and I'm bored, why not. $2500 later this was in my driveway.

Underneath that fiberglass body is full BT7 tri-carb running gear and frame. The original owner purchased a BT7 new in 1962. In 1969 the owner, a member of one of Louisville's wealthier families, spent $4000 to install the Fiberfab Kit.

Fiberfab introduced the "Jamaican" in 1968. The stock Healey body was removed leaving only the floor, firewall and inner fenders. This complete body assembly made of fiberglass was then installed. The kit fit the Healey, MGA, TR and VW.
It was a neat car! I drove it around town for awhile then displayed it at Conclave 93 here in Louisville with the hopes of selling it since I had no room to store it.
Unfortunately attempts to sell the car brought no interest at all. The car eventually was sold and dismantled since the value of the Healey Parts exceeded the asking price of the car.
