Hans Christiansen was born on November 22, 1850 in Denmark. At some point, he emigrated to America, eventually settling in Ishpeming, Michigan. There he married Amelia Ellstrom of Marquette, MI on April 19, 1879. Hans worked for the Lake Superior Mining company. On or about September 7, 1883, he was hit in the head by a fly wheel while working in the number 2 engine house. He died at home on September 9, 1883.

Hans and Amelia had two daughters:

Alice Augusta born January 19,1880 in Ishpeming, MI, died December 31, 1948 in Chicago, IL
Teckla Amelia born August 29, 1882 in Ishpeming, MI, died in 1957 in Ishpeming, MI

In August of 1887, Amelia married Carl August Larson who emigrated from St. Malm, Sweden.

Carl (Charles) and Amelia had five children all born in Ishpeming, MI:

Ethel Elvira: b. 02/20/1889 d. 10/26/74 in Sault Ste Marie, MI
Lida E.: b. 01/05/1891 d. 02/14/75 in Ishpeming, MI
Clarence F.: b. 02/20/1893 d. 12/31/65 in Ishpeming, MI
Alma M.: b. 07/15/1895 d. 05/27/63
Clifford Herbert: b. 04/11/1898 d. 01/19/23 in Ishpeming, MI


Alice Augusta married Fredrick Francis Davey on November 08, 1906 in Milwaukee, WI.

Alice and Fred had two children born in Chicago, IL:

Clifford F. Davey: b. 05/13/09 d. 02/68
Alice Mildred: b.1914 m. Francis Joseph Higgins
