What is the basis of the BibleTexts.com website?
Though the BibleTexts.com website is in no way affiliated with or sponsored by any church or any other organization, the website administrator is a very active and supportive church member and is united in very genuine and meaningful fellowship with Christians of all denominations. The BibleTexts.com website is dedicated to fellow-Christians everywhere and to all people who want to have a thoroughly honest understanding of the Bible, of earliest Christianity, and of the unconditional love (agape) that is at the heart of Christian practice.
The textual commentary and other original work contained in this website are based upon Hebrew and Greek texts and other biblical research tools that are widely recognized internationally as definitive standards in biblical scholarship. (See the "Bibliography" described below.)

This website provides objective and thoroughly researched textual and exegetical commentary on verses from every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. It also includes cross-references to synoptic, parallel, or similar verses in other parts of the Bible, as well as to biblical quotes and allusions in other writings.
Students of any English version of the Bible can gain new insights from the commentary, which also includes links to relevant Web-based original articles on primitive Christianity and other topics. This study-aid enables students of the King James Version to read the Bible with a more accurate understanding of what the original Hebrew and Greek texts actually said. The textual commentary within The BibleTexts Online Bible Commentary is based upon and is in complete agreement with the United Bible Societies' definitive Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (Hebrew Old Testament) and Greek New Testament (Third Edition and/or Fourth Revised Edition). There is information on how to obtain both hard copy editions and software editions of all of the following: the Christian Science Quarterly (the magazine with the complete outline of the Bible Lessons), Bibles (KJV, NASV, NIV, NRSV, TEV, and others), and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. There is also information on how to obtain other study aids, including (1) metal markers for the hardbound New Revised Standard Version Bible available in Christian Science Reading Rooms, (2) the American Bible Society's exceptionally valuable Bible research tools, (3) Bible research software, and (4) many other very helpful study aids and sources by which to obtain them. This webpage lists and describes Bible study resources (Bibles, dictionaries, concordances, and software) that enable you to use the Strong's number system to understand the Hebrew and Greek words behind the KJV and other translations. You may want to especially consider these as possible additions to your own Bible research library.

King James Version words, phrases, & verses not in original texts <CLICK HERE>
This webpage is a Bible study aid for those using the King James Version [KJV] of the Bible. It includes a partial listing of the words, phrases, and verses that appear in the KJV but that are not based upon the original Hebrew and Greek texts. In my own KJV Bibles, I enclose these words, phrases, and verses in red square brackets. By being able to see what was not in the original texts, I can still read the KJV and experience more nearly what was in the original texts. While this webpage lists most of the major occurances of such words, phrases, and verses, the unabridged Unabridged BibleTexts Online Bible Commentary (described at the top of this page) contains the most comprehensive listing of such KJV occurances available on any medium today.
