for the renovated complex on Fort Street in downtown Detroit - this window is housed in the new chapel. |

|
The work began with a series of negotiations with architects, builders, and the Salvation Army. It was completed in late 2006, and installed before the rest of the building was complete. Bill stands 6 feet tall, so you can see how large the window is. He built a special crate to transport the finished piece, which we drove back to retrieve after installation. |
|
From the outside, the window is dwarfed by the height of the chapel and the enormity of the building itself. The chapel is located on the fifth floor. |
| The Salvation Army is located next to Detroit's main Post Office, near the riverfront. |
| We hope the window will inspire those who are down on their luck with its magnificence. |
