ARIEL CORBIN LOVELESS (JOHN3, ELIJAH2, JOHN1 LOVELACE) was born 15 April 1812 in Poultney, Rutland, Vermont, although his father's family was from New York. He was the youngest son of John Loveless and Eliza Holden and lived in Hadley, Saratoga County, New York from the age of 12. His father settled on a farm in Hadley and the youngest Loveless remained at home and attended school until the age of 20. He served seven years as drummer in the 'Rifle Grays', a Saratoga County militia company. A.C. was a farmer and for many years owned and operated a farm in Hadley. He was elected justice of the peace for Hadley in 1846, 1850(short term), and 1851(long term).
He visited Illinois in 1851 and three years later moved there with his family. They arrived at Elgin, Kane County, Illinois on Dec. 1, 1854. A.C. rented land in Hanover, Cook County for 5 years, then purchased a farm in Plato, Kane County, which he operated for 20 years. In December 1883 he moved to Wheaton, DuPage County, Illinois and lived there for 5 years, then moved to St. Charles, then Elgin, and finally settled in Wheaton, where he died June 6, 1901.

ELIZA JANE GRAY (STEPHEN8, ENOCH7, ASEL (ASAHEL)6, STEPHEN5, WILLIAM4, HENRY3, HENRY2, WILLIAM1) was born 06 April 1816 in Saratoga County, New York, the daughter of Stephen Gray and Helen Shaw. Eliza married Ariel Corbin Loveless on the 14th of December, 1833
in Hadley, Saratoga, NY. A.C. and Eliza had 10 children and 7 of them lived to adulthood. The children were:
1. Alvira
2. Sarah
3. Braman
4. Rachel
5. Hannah
6. John (died at age 13)
7. Orcelia (died at 10 months)
8. Francelia (died at age 21, unmarried)
9. Charles Fremont
10. Adella (died at age14)
A.C. and Eliza lived in Hadley, New York, and Barrington, Elgin, Plato Center, St. Charles, and Wheaton, Illinois. Eliza Jane died January 30, 1888 in Wheaton, DuPage County, Illinois. Both A.C. and Eliza are buried in the Plato Center Cemetery, Kane County, Illinois.
