THE TRUE MEANING OF BLOSS AND OTHER ODDITIES

To Guiding Light viewers and Blake and Ross devotees on the internet there is only one meaning for Bloss. Let me tell you we were wrong. One day, I was doing my German homework (FYI in Germany GL is aired a few years behind the viewers in the United States and dubbed into German) and by some fluke I found the word Bloss in my dictonary. The meanings are rather shocking not as shocking as finding posters announcing a man running for coroner in the town I go to college in with that last name or a town called Blossburg, PA but it still ranks up there. One company's web site address is http://www.bloss.com/ A few even apply to our beloved couple.

1. Bloss can mean Bare
2. Er kam mit dem blossen Schrecken davon. That sentence means He got off with no more than a fright.
3. Ich moechte es schon machen, bloss weiss ich nicht wie. That means I would like to but I don't know how.
4. Wie kann so etwas geschehen? That means How on earth can something like that happen?
5. Was er bloss hat? That means What in the world is wrong with you?
6. Tu das bloss nicht wieder! That means don't you do that again.
7. Geh mir bloss aus dem Weg! That means just get out of my way.
