August is Jack and Mae Burlison's grand-daughter.

 They raised her and brought her up with the music.

 Her primary instrument is the fiddle, and she has an

 outstanding ear for harmonies, whether twin fiddle or

 vocal.  She now  lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee

 where she teaches fiddle. We only get to play music

 with her once a year, during the annual  SPBGMA

 convention in Nashville.  She was a regular member of

 our group for several years, and we miss her musical

 contributions and her personality.
