The Elfin Craftsmen of Blue Lady Hill
On a sunny winter afternoon trekking in the deep woods you're apt to discover this small band of elves working on holiday creations for the winter celebrations. Zachary is conscientiously updating the "naughty or nice" lists for Santa. Nathan, a fine tailor, is busy making the stockings that will be hung with care. William, pastry chef extraordinary, ices his special recipe gingerbread men. Dylan is hard at work creating the many wreaths needed each holiday season
Blue Lady Hill's dolls are the original work of artist Christine Demarest.
Christine set out to create an heirloom figurine for family and friends; one durable enough to pass along to another generation. By individually crafting each doll she has given a unique personality to every character that bring smiles to the faces of young and old.The artist claims that most of her creations inhabit the hills of New York along with the Blue Lady. They watch and serve as monitors of the well being of the spirits that guard the natural beauty of our special place in the Finger Lakes of New York.
Since the first brownie sighting on the hill, many more have been recorded, along with a small band of nymphs and a playful family of bunnies. We will bring you photos of these folks soon, so be sure to visit the Blue Lady again.
