nd  I DO LOVE   hiking... The name Supai comes from the village at the bottom of Havasupai Canyon, in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, where a peaceful tribe has lived for over 600 years...nearly untouched by civilization....      My most favorite place in all of the SouthWest.

To get to Supai, Arizona, you must hike 13 miles into a steep canyon, starting at Hualapai Hilltop.. but be sure to get permission from the Havasupai Tribe first!  This picture is of Havasu Falls.. one of three waterfalls you will see as you follow the trail.   (If you don't have time for the full hike.......there is a helicopter ride you can take...  and it's also nice to know you have a second choice when it's time to get out!)
