Texas Sledder
Ol' Bubba from the "Yukon"
Some folks do think it strange
When they see 'im herdin' cattle
With his team out on the range
His buggy is a car hood
Welded to a tractor seat
And Bubba says for chasin' cows
His rig just cain't be beat
Pulled by a team of huskies
Led by a flop-eared hound
That always runs some funny
With his nose down to the ground
But that's Bubba's secret weapon
Boys, he'll tell you with some pride
They ain't no place in Texas
Where them cows could ever hide
Cause if they's on the prairie
Them husky dogs will race
To catch 'em in a hurry
And put Bubba in a place
Where he can turn the critters
Over to the loadin' pen
Where there's a 1950 truck
He aims to haul 'em in
But should they go to hidin'
Where mesquite and cactus grows
Bubba sics Ol' Floppy on 'em
And he finds 'em with his nose.
Well, they might be efficient
But our image, Bubba, please---
It just ain't right for a cowboy's "horse"
...To stop and scratch his fleas!!
