Independence Day 1996

Late in the afternoon on July 4 1776 the founding fathers adopted the Declaration of Independence.
At 2:00 PM July 4 1996 we gathered at Independence Hall to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The bell rang out, and was echoed by bells around the world. This web site is intended to share some of the sights and sounds of that celebration.

Virtual Reality Independence Hall

This is a virtual reality model I've developed for The Independence Hall Association. It's the culmination of over a years worth of research and experimentation. To learn more about this experience see the original webpage I first published July 1996 proposing a 3D computer model of Philadelphia  The Living City.

Independence Hall is Featured on the Cover of the June 1997 issue of Microstation Manager. Also see the article The VRML streets of Philadelphia.
