As a person, Gloria Estefan is amazing. She is a very caring humanitarian. She is a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Gloria puts her all into sharing and helping others, including the needy and her fans. Everyone has felt that and this is part of what makes her such a wonderful person. Gloria has done a lot for her hometown of Miami, including helping to raise money for hurricane relief when Andrew hit and devastated South Florida. Gloria's heart is sincere and her energy is immesurable!

GLORIA's FAMILY INFO:


Gloria was born on September 1, 1957 to Gloria and Jose Fajardo. She was born in Cuba. She has one younger sister, Rebecca. When Gloria was a teenager her father passed away due to exposure to agent orange. He served in the war. Her mother was a school teacher. Gloria's inspiration was her grandmother. Even after her passing, Gloria still holds and feels her close to her heart.

Gloria met Emilio Estefan at a wedding and began singing with the band, then called The Miami Latin Boys. Gloria has been married to Emilio since September 1, 1978. Emilio produces all of her music and they have their own recording studio - Crescent Moon. She has two wonderful children, Nayib (born in 1980) and Emily Marie (born in 1994). They live in a beautiful home in Miami Beach, on the very beautiful Star Island.
