the new album! Due out June 2, 1998!

Gloria is set to release a new album entitled "GLORIA!" on June 2, 1998. The first single from that album is called "Heaven Is What I Feel" and will be released in english, spanish and french. It will include 11 original tracks, 4 bonus tracks, 2 remixes and 2 spanish versions. There will also be 2 french versions in the international release. The album will be released with 2 different covers-one for the US and one for the International version. "GLORIA!" will be an all english dance album with a style said to be a mix of high energy, latin percussion with Donna Summer style music. What a blend!

CONGRATULATIONS GLORIA! This album is already getting rave reviews from Billboard Magazine! Also, it is said that the album will have beautiful photos of Gloria taken by world famous photographers!

The 12th installment in her career, simply entitled, "gloria!", is a blending of original material pop/dance music seasoned with retro and latin-fusion flavors throughout. A perfect segue from her achievement in 1996 when she was named Billboard magazine's #1 Dance Music Artist, and follow-up to the PLATINUM album, Destiny, this album creates yet another level of excitement and energy for which Gloria is so well known.

THE MUSIC

Executive producer and husband, Emilio Estefan, Jr., along with Gloria, enlist the talents of pop/dance producer Tony Moran, who lends his co-production on 7 tracks: "Heaven's what I feel" (the first single) (both English & Spanish versions), "Don't Stop" (which Tony co-wrote with Emilio), "Don't let this moment end", "Touched by an angel", and "Oye" (both English & Spanish versions).

Both of Tony’s Spanish versions have been added to the album as bonus tracks (there are 4 bonus tracks, for a total of 15 cuts on “gloria!”).

Also brought into the mix here was Grammy nominee and fellow Sony artist, Wyclef Jean, who lends his rapping and production talents on the track, "Don't Release Me". His own remix of this track has also been included on the album as a bonus track.

In addition, they added the services of current hot properties in the world of dance music to add that extra "edge" to several tracks. The production team, Soul Solution, AKA Bobby Guy & Ernie Lake, best known for their work on the Grammy nominated, "Unbreak My Heart" (by Toni Braxton) as well as "The One I gave my Heart to" (by Aaliyah) and most recently, "My Heart Will Go On" (by Celine Dion), put their remixing touches on the track, "Lucky Girl".

Giving a whole new interpretation of the song "Feelin", was the UK production team of Love to Infinity, best known for their work on the Diana King track, "I Say a Little Prayer" as well as their now classic mix of Gloria's "Everlasting Love". Their mix of this track is also included on the album as a bonus track.

Other production teams include Ralphi Rosario & Abel Aguilera, on the track, "I Just Wanna Be Happy" and Francois Kervorkian & Eric Kupper, on the track, "Real Woman".

The exposure from VH-1 should be quite significant as they are involved from the day of impact at radio (4/14).

*VH1 is already playing the video for HWIF!!

ELMOPALOOZA 1998!

This CD is available in stores now. It contains the song "Mambo I, I, I" which Gloria performed on the Elmopalooza TV special on February 20, 1998. This song is awesome!

Gloria has the first track on this compilation album which features other artists such as The Fugees, Steven Tyler, EnVoge and Jimmy Buffett.

NEWS RELATED INFO

Bongo Jeans Lawsuit- THE ESTEFANS WIN! -On 1/10/98 in an article released by the Miami Associated Press, it was announced that the Bongo Jeans company was suing Gloria and Emilio for alleged trademark infringement because of the name of their hit restaurant in Downtown Disney, Orlando, Florida - BONGO's CUBAN CAFE. On February 12, 1998 it was announced that the Judge ruled in FAVOR of the Estefans and the restaurant will continue to operate with the same name! CONGRATULATIONS TO GLORIA AND EMILIO!

CONCERT/TOUR DATES

Gloria's new album "gloria!" premiere party will be held sometime at the end of may, I believe May 28 at New York's Studio 54.

Gloria will be performing with other artists at the "Wango Tango" concert in California sometime in April or May. Call Ticketmaster for more information on tickets.

BONGO's CUBAN CAFE

Gloria and Emilio's latest restaurant located in Downtown Disney in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. Bongo's opnened in style with a big party in November 1997! It was a star studded event and was simoultaneously shown on the internet! The theme of the restaurant is Cuba in the 30's and 40's. At night there is entertainment provided by a Desi Arnaz impersonator, and cuban music. The cuban cuisine is exquisite! Bongo's opens at 11:00 a.m. GO VISIT!! UPCOMING PROJECTS

**Apart from the dance album entitled "Gloria" which will be released in June 1998, there is also talk of a second album to be released later this year.

**There is talk that Gloria may be releasing a LIVE CD of the Evolution Tour.

**Emilio will be working on many new projects and representing many established and rising latin stars, he will also be working with some movie soundtrack projects.

**Although it has been rumored that Gloria will act, no projects have been confirmed. Gloria has not dismissed the possibility of acting, but she is waiting for the right oppurtinity to come along.
