Sanctioned Indiana U.S.C.A. Points Event

We invite you to participate in the 2008 Three Rivers Festival Canoe and Kayak Races.

All races start and finish at the IPFW Boat Ramp just across the river from the IPFW Campus. (NO SHUTTLING necessary!) This is just across Coliseum Boulevard from the Johnny Appleseed park and dam.


Registration and awards ceremony will all be held at this same location. All paddler's will receive a completion certification with their name, event, finishing place and finishing time.

The race courses:

Citizen's Class:

Starting from the IPFW University boat ramp, the racers will proceed upstream on the St. Joe River to the Washington Center Rd. Bridge. Making a clockwise turn around the bridge pillars they will then proceed downstream to the Coliseum Road bridge. Another clockwise turn around this bridge and back to the IPFW boat ramp finish line. Approximate completion times for the 4 mile course will range from 35 - 55 minutes.

Indiana U.S.C.A. Points Races:
Same course as above, two (2) laps.  
Approximate completion times for the 8 mile course will range from 60 - 75 minutes.


Entry Fee Per Person:
USCA Races:    $20.00 - for all events
Citizens Races:  $10.00 adults / $5.00 for 15 and under - for all events

You must register no later than 1/2 hour before your event.


Citizen's Class, (No kevlar or carbon Type Boats): 4 Mile Course
(Max. Length: 18' for Plastic and Fiberglass boats; 18'6" for Aluminum boats)
