Postcard from St. Louis:

Presidential Tripping

By Miz Ellen

26 August 2003-- On my way home tonight (I'm now working my real shift and get off at 7pm) I was cruising south on I-70 and noticed that all the exits and overpasses were blocked off with police cars from several different jursidictions.  No traffic was permitted to get on I-70 north heading towards the airport.  Then came President Bush's motorcade, with about 30 motorcycle policemen and a whole slew of cars.  I thought, for crying out loud boys, he's not worth that much trouble.  Why don't you drop him off at a MetroLink station in East St. Louis and see if he's smart enough to find his way to the airport on his own.  I'll even loan him a buck and a quarter for the ticket.  If he's not smart enough to catch the train that says "Lambert Airport" on it, I doubt he's smart enough to get us out of the mess he's gotten us into.
