Stuck On Stuckeys - Stuckey's Tribute Site
|
PLEASE READ: (May, 2007) Several years ago, I put this site up as one man's tribute to
a fond memory. Never in a million years did I dream that this site
would do so well. Currently it gets about 75 hits a day. Sometimes, it
will get 400 or so hits in a single day, probably because someone finds the
site and then passes it on to friends. There
must be a lot of interest in old roadside stuff!!
I get emails quite often from folks with information. Lately, I have
just gotten so busy with life that I have not had the time to
update the site. So, first of all, I want to apologize to the folks who
sent me stuff and never saw it on the site. I still have the emails saved
away and it will get put on during the redo as described below.
I am going to be migrating the site to a new host, as it is currently
on AOL and when I drop my old dial up service I will lose the space.
Also, I am going to let my son become the webmaster. He is a young
computer guy and has lots of ideas on how to improve the site, such as
adding a discussion board. School is
out for the summer and he needs something to do. If the site
is unavailable it is because we are redoing it.
You can email the new webmaster with any suggestions at:

7/3/04 The next generation! I have succeeded in making my son into a Stuckey's fanatic (but it's no go
on my teenage daughter). Here is
the Stuckey's roadside store he made for me out of cardboard.

11/10/04 Old billboard on U.S. 301 just south of Hilliard, Florida. I have
been by this site many times and never seen it; I was thinking maybe the recent onslaught
of hurricanes uncovered it.

8/14/03 The official Stuckey's Corporation site is up and running at www.stuckeys.com. Please
direct your requests for mail order candy and store locations to them! THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL, JUST FOR FUN, FAN SITE. The good
folks at Stuckey's like this site and want it to continue, but they want to make sure all requests for service go to them, Thanks!
DISCLAIMER: This is NOT the official Stuckey's Corporation
website! That site is at: http://www.stuckeys.com/. Send any
email or comments about this rather amateurish site to: PKhan@stuckonstuckeys.com, who yearns
for the good ol' days of Stuckey's and other roadside icons.
Serving Relaxed, Refreshed,
and Refueled cyberspace travelers since
8/23/01.
Note: The counter rolls over at 65536 (which is because it is stored as a 2 byte, or 16 bit, quantity).
So the current hit count is 65536 PLUS the number shown. 1/2007 It rolled over again, so it is now
130,000 + the current value.
