When is
"Career Day for Our Sons
and Daughters
"?

Its on Friday after Father's Day.
Father's Day is:
Sunday 17 June 2001.
Career Day is:
Friday 22 June 2001.

It would be good for
"Career Day for Our Sons
and Daughters"
to be on a day or close to a day
which has some historic
significance for men.
Also, so parents would not have to
take children out of school,
the day should be in the Summer.
It was decided to have
"Career Day for Our Sons
and Daughters" on the Friday
after Father's Day.
Thus, Boys can Honor the
role of Fatherhood in the same
week that parents bring their
sons and daughters to work
to encourage Career Planning.

"Career Day for Our Sons
and Daughters" is on the
Friday after Father's Day.

Mark that day to bring sons
and daughters to work, to encourage sons and daughters
to plan for their future careers.

But, we in the men's movement
are also concerned about the
"companion sex", and so also
encourage girls to share in the
day. Men and women should not
be divided into "warring camps".
In my book,
"The Quest for Love"
by Dave Erickson
(Pen for Dale Harris)
I say that men and women should
not be viewed as "opposite sexes"
but rather as "companion sexes".
God made us to be "companions"
and helpers of one another, not
enemies. So, we should not start
boys and girls off in
"enemy camps" when we bring
Our Sons and Daughters
to work. So both sexes are
invited to share in this day.
