The Best Picture Of Me Ever
This picture was taken of me in first grade (Park Avenue School, Yuba City, California, 1971). I had been transferred from kindergarten to first grade midway through my first year of school. Even though my mother cut my bangs, I still think this is still the best picture that exists of me.
John and Brin
This is a picture of me and my husband John. It was taken in 1995 when we were rejoined in a handfasting at our home. San Francisco is famous for its seasons, or complete lack thereof, but on October 12, 1995, there'd been a freak heatwave, and it was around ninety degrees in our apartment, where the ceremony took place. We were so glad when the fog rolled in that night.
There Goes Another Mars Probe
This is my favorite photograph of one of my favorite people. I've known Brian Clayton for twelve years. We are both fans of Doctor Who and of Kate Bush. He's the guy I mentioned in my thank-you list on the index page, who took me kite flying on the last day of February, 2002. This picture was taken in September of 1999 at a Space:1999 convention. I ripped it off from his website. Brian introduced us to Habañero jack cheese, the consumption of which is an art form, and in retribution, John introduced him to the art rock group Renaissance & Brian was forced to go out and buy all of their albums.
It Felt Like A Family Reunion
I have been a fan of talk radio for 20+ years, and the person I've listened to most has been KGO's Ronn Owens. In March of 2000, KGO Radio threw a party for the public, and I finally met Ronn after clobbering the poor man with faxes and emails for seven years. He says he loves my sense of humor, but I figure one would have to be a half-bubble off plumb to listen to him for so long, so he gets partial credit. You can read more about the KGO Expo over on my Ronn Owens fan page.
