The Patouche Kennel

The Patouche Kennel's aim is to produce good working dogs which conform completely to the French breed standard. We have imported three dogs from the Keranlouan kennel, one of the top working kennels in Europe, bred by Patrick Morin, another from the S^t Thurial Kennel, both from Brittany.

We are not interested in just producing Sh. Chs, our aim is to uphold the true traditions of the breed and keep them working. Out of the five full Champions in the UK, we own two and bred another. Ch. Lorca de Keranlouan, Ch. Patouche Toscane and Patouche Baileys have all received top accolades in France. (CACIB's)

We have now bought a St Lubin male to add to our gene pool. In December 2007, we brought in Clochette du Petit Odon, a tricolour tailless bitch, then in July Chriss de Sous les Viviers will come into the UK. We are committed to importing from kennels who have the working side and strong conformation of the breed at heart. Only the best will do... Our plans are to produce some naturally tailless puppies, without compromising on quality. We also intend to continue legally docking our puppies to enable future owners to work safely.

Our Brittanys are true to their working background, and our Hunter-Pointer-Retrievers have excellent scenting and quartering ability combined with speed, and are not for the faint-hearted. Their mind is inquisitive and for this reason are not always suitable for novice pet owners, they can however, put their mind to agility and obedience. We are always available for help and advice after our puppies leave.
