Bob Jenson's
Gathering of Bronze
August 6, 1994 San Diego Comic Con
Bob Jenson was the originator of the Gathering of Bronze in 1994.
Planned around the San Diego Comic Con, the event attracted a fairly
large group. Attendees met on Saturday at noon at James Van Hise's table inside the
convention center. Mr. Jenson presented everyone with items that he had prepared for
the occasion. After some intense talking (remember, this was the first time many fans
had ever met another Doc fan) and a trip to Jim Gould's vehicle where he had brought
many extras of things never dreamed of, the group left for a lunch together.

Following lunch, Howard Wright presented everyone with a Bronze
Gazette cap and a group picture was taken. That evening several attendees got together
at Michal Mimms home and had dinner, told stories and viewed Bill Curtis's copy of the
Man of Bronze pulp.
