LISA - Guitar, Drums, Vocals

When little Lisa's parents noticed her constantly banging and tapping on everything in sight, they broke down and bought their little skin-basher a drum set. However, it was a scaled-down version of a real set. It didn't even have a snare drum or a bass pedal, but Lisa wasn't discouraged. After discovering Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, she decided that she would one day be in a band as well. This decision led to her first real drum set and a string of bands that eventually brought her to play in Kin, one she is very proud of. Kin has had numerous opportunities that have pushed them even closer to the top of the ladder of success. Kin was presented with the chance to open for several national acts, including Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of Kiss, Joan Jett, Heart, Kings X, Cinderella and many more.

Likes: my monkey, rocking with the Broads, Oreo's, Food, have I mentioned food? Heart concerts, Mom's meatballs, margaritas, eating, watching the Food Network, hockey, Mark Messier, playing the House of Blues, Fruity Pebbles, my kitty cats, making fun of bad 70's songs.

Dislikes: Public Toilets, Aunt Flow from Red Bank, cleaning my cats litter box, packing up after a show, when my bottle of water spills over while I'm playing, backaches, insomnia, the smell of hospitals, when my cell phone says "Call was lost", alligators, the day after Christmas..

COLLEEN - Bass, Vocals

Colleen's love for music started while watching her big brother Ricky singing and jamming on the guitar. Unfortunately, trying to learn how to play on his lefty guitar was too frustrating and asking her parents for another instrument was just asking for trouble. Still, she persevered and eventually, she made a deal with a local bassist - if she bought a bass, he'd give her the lessons. Her parents gave in and from then on, playing the bass was her destiny. This talented bassist from the charming town of Jersey City, NJ has been in a few all female bands including Kin. Colleen has had a chance to record in the legendary recording studio Electric Lady in NYC, has played the PNC Arts Center, and has opened for national acts such as Heart, Joan Jett, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Colleen's bass playing portrays her fun-loving personality and is just what keeps the fans of Broad Banned returning show after show.

Letitia started playing the piano at the age of 5. While playing classical music as a kid, she was always interested in figuring out pop songs on the radio. After finishing a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance at Oberlin College, she decided to move out to LA and start exploring rock music through playing with different musicians. She played in an electronica band--Dual Eden, an alternative rock band--The John Moss Band, and an 80s cover band--Planet 80s.
Upon moving back to the east coast, Letitia joined Broad Banned in October 2003. Letitia also teaches piano at the Preparatory Center for the Arts at Montclair State University and is currently enrolled in the Performance Certificate program at MSU.
