Flyin' West is the
gripping story of a group of female pioneers who settle on the Kansas
prairie in the turbulent years after the Civil War. Three sisters and an
elder woman have escaped the South to survive new challenges ranging
from long, cold winters to domestic violence, to the constant spectre of
racial conflict. Based on the historical migration of African American
homesteaders, Flyin' West is a testament to tremendous courage in
the face of adversity.
