     This book was originally published circa 1908 and is a nice clean reprint of the classic. Incredible history of the Submarine through the ages. The author uses old texts, original drawings by the author, full page illustrations from famous artwork to depict the interesting history of the submarine. Includes history, inventors, specifications and very detailed reporting of events. One appendix is a comprehensive list of all submarines built until the date of this book, the inventors, specifications and remarks. The second appendix details submarines in the construction stage not as yet launched.
