On Line Gamma Chapter

of

Beta Sigma Phi

On Line Gamma (OLG), is an On Line Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. We welcomed sisters from all geographical locations and all degrees.

Our goal was to continue the caring and sharing begun in On Line Alpha. We have on-line programs and discussions. By limiting the membership to 75, we feel we have developed the closeness of a smaller chapter. We enjoyed OLG so much we decided to share our enjoyment even more. On Line Gamma Friendly Ventured On Line Epsilon. They have their own web page, officers and mailing list now.

OLG was formed to extend on-line friendship to newer on-line sisters in August 1997. There are sisters from all over the United States, and Canada in OLG(reat). There are a few openings. If you are interested, please contact our Vice President - Dell D at delldmyr@sbcglobal.net .

Those that wish to participate have Special Sisters and they are enjoying the cards that are flying through the net.

OLG is proud of it's very own banner. It is appliqued with a balloon and has the letters OLG on it. The picture of it is below, but the picture does not do it justice. It is much more colorful than it appears. Our thanks to Shirley K for getting them done for us. The OLG pin has a hot air balloon with "On Line Gamma, Beta Sigma Phi" across the balloon. There are three sisters in the basket of the balloon. Each member that joins OLG gets the OLG pin.

On Line Gamma assisted the Portland, Oregon City Council by judging it's Valentine Queen contest. The resumes of the candidates were sent to a group of OLG sisters and they selected the Valentine Queen.

OLG members have attended meetings in Kansas City, Las Vegas (three times!), Atlanta, and Oregon. We had a great time at the Chicago meeting June 2000, Ft. Worth February 2001, Denver July 2001 and Florida June 2002. On Line Gamma enjoys meeting so much that we do it as a chapter also. We've met in Shreveport, Colorado Springs, Charleston SC and Las Vegas again in 2005 where some members took a side trip to the Grand Canyon. We had a great time in Savannah GA in July 2006, San Diego CA/Rosarita, Mexico in February/March 2007 and looking forward to Key West in September 2008. All the meetings of on-line sisters have proven themselves to be just like the meetings on the computers. There is always lots of laughter, hugs, and everyone talking at once. Of course, at the in-person meetings we get to eat a meal or two with each other. What would a Beta Sigma Phi function be without good food and lots of pictures?

OLG members also participated in the BSP Worldwide Shopping Days. OLG members met September 26th, 1998, to shop and eat with other BSP sisters all over the world. No one can match Dona G's day in Portland. She caught Robert Redford in the mall and got her picture taken with him! Check our members picture page. OLG members also shopped September 1999, November 2000 and October 2001.

The music playing (if you don't hear it) is "Up Up and Away". On Line Gamma is flying high in it's eleventh year as an on line chapter.
