Welcome to Western Typology, your
NUMBER ONE source for accurate and reliable Indian Arrowhead and Native American
artifact authentication. We have 25 years experience in the area of western
lithics, projectile points and other artifacts. We have also acted as advisors to Robert Overstreet's "Indian Arrowheads"
publications, (THE Arrowhead collector's "Bible") for more than
7 years. The renowned Gregory Perino has also used our consultation services in
the past.
We offer an attractive certificate of authenticity for any artifact submitted
to us, which we deem to be authentic. The certificate itself is suitable for
framing and lists detailed facts about each arrowhead, artifact or relic
submitted for analysis.

At Western Typology, we strive to provide a quality "Artifact Authentication"
certificate with each authentic artifact we examine. We include a tamper-proof
color photo on each numbered certificate, a complete description of the
artifact, the material, type name (if established), measurements, origin, as
well as any other relevant information that might be provided with the piece. We
encourage our customers to include all the information they have on an artifact
being submitted for evaluation. All certificates are numbered and a copy
is kept in our files for future reference, and verification if necessary.
We are an authentication service for the Western United States, as well as
Western Canada, Alaska and Mexico. We specialize in projectile points, and have
25 years experience with typology of western lithics. An Artifact
Authentication certificate will be issued for each authentic artifact submitted,
or a detailed letter of rejection, describing what is wrong with submissions
will be issued on all fake, fraudulent, altered or other non-authentic pieces.
If a submitted artifact is outside of our area of expertise and we cannot make a determination as to it's authenticity, we will refund your
submission fee and refer you to another regional authenticator who may have more
knowledge about that particular artifact.
