| Bud Goes to
Mt. Graham |
The Big Guy took a Friday off, the last day of July, for
what he called "a one day heat break" away from the hot, dry summer in Mesa,
Arizona. He took Bud the Wondercat with him this time, who mostly napped while they drove
for a very long time to end up in the Pinaleno Mountains of southeast Arizona. There are
many tall peaks there, including Mt. Graham at 10,717 foot elevation. It is a cool, green,
scenic place and there was some summer monsoon rain. It was a real nice day! Here are some
of the photos.

| Peter's
Flat is a place that deserved some exploration. Bud enjoys the lush green grass and ferns
from atop an old stump. Bud takes in the view from a rock at Peter's Flat
(photo below). What a view there is from over 9000 foot elevation!
A similar view is seen from Ft. Grant Vista Point in the photo below right. |
