I am a HUGE animal lover and decided
to make a difference by combining my skills and interests for the organizations
listed below. Enjoy your stay and visit my neighbors and see how you can
make a difference! I am a 2001 graduate from the
Veterinary Technology Program at Northern Virginia Community College
, Loudoun Campus. I also am employed part-time as a Licensed Veterinary
Technician at Stafford Animal Hospital.
In May 2000 Kirby (see photo, tri-color, far right) our then 6-year
old, Shetland Sheepdog was diagnosed with thyroid carcinoma. The tumor was
removed and adjunct chemotherapy was indicated. Since then he has had several
rechecks and is doing well. This is a rare occurance in a young dog, so if
you have had a similar experience with your pet, please feel free to
e-mail me to share your story. My pets are very important and are definate
members of our family. I found that having pet insurance allows us
to go above and beyond in medical treatment for them to extend their quality
