I make web pages because I love watching a site come together. It started as a little personal project in 1997, and I discovered I not only had a knack for it, but that I really enjoyed making them too! Since I have a regular full-time job as well, I can charge less than the "commercial" site designers do. If you look at some of the sites I've done, I think you'll agree that they are as attractive as any others out there. My goal is simply to put well-designed pages together with the people who need and want them, at an affordable price.
I charge $25.00 per hour for all aspects of site creation whether for personal or business customers; no hidden costs, no fancy "package plans" that give you a little page for a lot of money. The cost is the same for personal consultation on design and content, writing the source code for the page itself, scanning images, uploading the finished product onto your server space with your ISP (and just about all ISPs give you free space these days), submitting your site to a number of the most popular search engines, and any updating and ongoing maintenance that you need for your site. If you're located in Northeast Ohio, I'll even come to your business and take digital photographs for inclusion on your site.You provide the photographs, the text, where you want your page to link, and your own server space. If you dont have server space, I can put your page on Angelfire, or Tripod, or Geocities or any of the number of "free" page hosting services available. On the other hand, if you want to register your own domain name, I can assist you in arranging for those related services as well. The cost of registering and hosting a domain is separate from what I charge to create your site, but I can make it easier to set up by doing most of the legwork for you.
I write all of my own HTML code, which I feel allows for more control over the finished product than some of the commercially available HTML software. And since I charge by the hour (a fairly low rate compared to most web page designers), you have much more control over your cost; a simple page may take only a couple of hours, and more elaborate ones, of course, can take much longer.
Here are a few examples of sites that I have done. The most extensive, not surprisingly, is my own personal site, which just seems to keep growing.
