FOUNDING:  October 1982

MEETINGS:  Annual yearly at a different location every year

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:  An interest in Edward Doty; proof of descent not required.  The society has over 800 members currently.  Non-members, or people not interested in joining the Society are still encouraged to submit lineages for the Societies database.

SOCIETY PUBLICATIONS and PROJECTS: updated the popular Doty-Dotten book of 1897 making additions and corrections (book is no longer being sold however); erected monuments and plaques honoring Edward Doty and Faith Clarke.
