Mike Brooks is an accomplihed fly tier who worked for the H.L. Leonard Rod Company from the late 1960s to mid 1970s. He has won international fly tying contests and some of his flies grace museums worldwide. That attention to detail has carried over from his fly tying and forms the base for the design principles Mike applies to handcarfting bamboo fly rods. From his own "Permacane" impregnation process and inovative tapers to the authentic Leonard Chinese Red silk wraps, Mike produces quality rods that looks as good as they cast.
