Below is a poster for strategy work during guided reading. It is a good reminder for the students of what they should be thinking as they read and then it can be used as a place for them to put their notes when we discuss throughout the story. Each student has a copy in guided reading and a large poster, enlarged at Kinko's (teacher discount) is mounted on the wall. I remove the charts when they no longer need the scaffolding. The poster serves as a good reminder of the types of thinking they should be doing independent reading.
