Welcome to CASMAS' Archival Website. Here you will find many
helpful, informative articles describing the human rights struggle in Mauritania and
Sudan. It has been a number of years since CASMAS began involvement with the
struggle of Sudanese and Mauritanians in the fight for human justice. The initial
period was spent "convincing" the western public that human enslavement and
other intolerable human rights violations were occuring in these countries. Since
that time, however, CASMAS has moved on toward engineering concrete systems of
intervention, evolving from a mode of information dessimination to that of intervention
activism. We realize, however, that the realities
of existence in the countries of Sudan and Mauritania are still news to many and even
"debatable" for others. Out of commitment to furthering knowledge and
encouraging individual research, we have started and will be expanding this archival
section of our site in order to provide as much information and authoritative
documentation to the concerned public as possible. We invite you to fully explore
this information, and CASMAS always welcomes your questions, comments and suggestions
concerning this immense topic. |
