Welcome to a work in progress. This site is not meant for the public at this time. It is meant solely as a repository for certain pieces I want to have available to present to my clients. As such, please understand that this site does not express my aesthetic preferences or talent. It's merely a catchall for now. Most of you know me as freelance writer, copywriter and copyeditor. Others, as publisher and editor of Christian*New Age Quarterly. Some remember my years as senior copywriter at Darcey & Darcey. Yet, oddly enough, most recently I came to be known as the "pit bull of proofreading." Pit bull of proofreading? I just came off a long stint of proofreading for a prestigious advertising agency, working primarily on promotional material for Samsung and BMW. A friend and colleague at Ritta & Associates wrote, "I highly recommend Catherine Groves, especially if you require an eagle-eyed proofreader, fact checker and editor.... We refer to her as our 'proofreading pit bull.'" I must confess, I enjoy that handle! But my big news? I'm back! At last I have a bit of leeway in my schedule, and can again offer my freelance services to those who would benefit most. So I ask you, could you use an occasional hand getting your word out there?
