Cindy's Family History Place
CINDY'S FAMILY HISTORY PLACE
Hello! My name is Cindy Alldredge
and I am happy to welcome you to my place.
Come on in and look around, I'm glad you dropped by today.
You will find genealogy and personal histories here
and also links to some of my other interests and favorite places.
My husband, Michael Alldredge and I have five children
(Travis, Nichole,
Danielle,
Erin, and Adam
ranging in age from fifteen to thirty-one)
a daughter-in-law, Cassie, a son-in-law, Travas Walker,
seven
grandchildren:
Tanner, Alexandria, Teagan, Emily, Tiara, Jocelyn, and Chiana.
We love our family, they are the top priority in our lives.
~~~
I really enjoy genealogy and love to track down my ancestors.
I especially love to find, edit, and publish journals and histories
so I can get to know this "gone but not forgotten" family of mine.
Please write and let me know if our research or family lines cross,
I'd love to hear from you.
Personal Histories and Pioneer Stories on-line:
I've gathered most of these life-sketches
from family members' Books of Remembrance.
The histories were either handwritten, typed,
or old photocopies (the kind that goes dark.)
I did compile a few from bits and pieces of others.
If any of these are copyrighted please let me know.
The Chapman and Brown histories are not LDS pioneeer stories.
It was their descendants that joined the church.
Please visit the
Washington
County Utah and
San Juan County
Utah sites
and send suggestions on what should be included to help with genealogy in
this area.
My newest website is
DavidHCannon.org.
It's not yet complete but I would love to have you visit and give me some
ideas.
I'm also working on a large website that will be called
www.forefamilies.com
I love the internet and have found a lot of interesting places
while browsing. It's a great place to do research on any subject
whether it's a geometry paper for my daughter or background
on the author and setting of a book that I am reviewing.
I would like to share some of my favorite sites and links with you.
My husband and I and our children are members of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
and have been for many generations.
Most people call us "Mormons"
but that is just a nickname that people started using
because we use the Book of Mormon
alongside the Bible as scripture.
The Book of Mormon is
another testament of Jesus Christ.
We call ourselves LDS (Latter-day Saints.)
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints
is the official LDS church site .
And www.mormon.org can answer questions
you may have about the church.
The Church's Provident Living Website located at:
www.providentliving.org
tells how we try to live our lives.
Tracing Mormon Pioneers
is a great website for those with LDS ancestors.
It includes lots of information and examples of where to
do research and even includes
a Pioneer Search.
Some great genealogy links include:
FamilySearch.Org : the LDS Church's
Family History site
The USGenWeb Project:
a great, free site with county and state records
Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the
Internet: This site will link you to thousands of other genealogy
sites.
My husband is a member of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers
IBEW Local 46.
Our family loves the Seattle Mariners.
Watching and going to their games
recently helped us through a difficult summer.
The Official Mariners Website
keeps us informed
with changes and news of the team.
I spent the first 36 years of my life
in a wonderful place called
St. George,
Utah.
My ancestors helped settle there.
Although it has tripled in population (and structures)
in the years that I have been away,
it is still one of the most beautiful spots on earth
with its red sandstone cliffs and wonderful desert climate.
Utah's Color Country
Links
also has some great links to that area.
I now live in the great Pacific Northwest.
This is also a wonderful, beautiful place to live
but the climate is very different from southern Utah.
.
We live in Snohomish County in Washington state.
The closest town to us is Monroe, Washington
It is about 45 miles northeast of Seattle.
We have chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, Koi, and a turkey.
I love to raise perennials, read books,
search out our history, make jewelry,
play and read with my grandchildren,
and homeschool my fifteen-year-old son.
I have a wonderful life!
