WHEN WILL I DANCE: An award winning play about Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo which has been produced in theaters across the United States and also ran for almost a year in Helsinki, Finland. This play which has been called a poetic masterpiece by critics features two roles, both Frida Kahlo.

THIS ONE THING I DO - Published by Samuel French and also featured in Contest Monologues and Competition Monologues II, Speeches from the Best American Plays. produced widely across the US. The story of Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and their 50 fight for equality for women.

WOMEN BEHIND THE WALLS - Written from improvisation with the women of Chowchilla prison, the largest women's prison in the world. A multiracial cast of five women in a powerful play that moves audiences from laughter to tears as they confront the women behind the walls.

LISTEN TO OUR VOICES - A play written with incarcerated youth about their lives in America today confront issues of parental abuse, poverty, drugs, and crime. This play was written with youth in locked down facility in a drug treatment wing of a juvenile detention jail.

BLUE SKIES FOREVER - A play about the mystery of Amelia Earhart which investigates her life and disappearance. Monologues published by Contest Monologues, editor Roger Ellis.

JOURNALISM
Claire writes a regular column for The Student Guide. She has been published in the San Francisco Examiner, The Los Angeles Times, The Canadian Messenger, La Gazette, Matrix, The Good Times Magazine, The San Jose Mercury News, The Independent and various other publicaitions

Claire has worked with youth at risk and incarcerated adults and teenagers for many years. She is one a few writers who is approved to work in maximum security prisons in the state of California. Claire also teaches play writing for the Unverisity of California Extension. Her work has been supported by the National Endowment for Humanities, the California Arts Council, The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County and The Puffin Foundaiton. She is a member of the National Writers Union and the International Center for Women Playwrights.
