Studios 31 and 33 are "sister" studios and are situated side by side. Both were originally constructed with permanent theater-style audience seating. However, the depressed audience area in Studio 31 was later filled in to become an extension of the main stage. (Portable bleachers are brought into Studio 31 for shows with live audiences.) Studio 33 has a seating capacity of 330. The backstage areas behind both studios are wardrobe rooms, dressing rooms and lavatories.
