Although Kyle's never built a strip canoe before...let alone steam bend wood...his pictures and comments showcase the beautiful results he achieved when building this victorian classic canoe! Kyle completed his Alaskan Yellow Cedar Indienne in September 2002, in time for some memorable paddling before the snow flies.
Ohio's newest strip canoe builder is Ron Tonies. He enjoyed the experience very much and achieved fantastic results! His level-stripped & stapled hull Keshequa 170 features some Pine accent strips.
Please enjoy his pictures and commentary.
