"Hayzel"

 Cedarbrook's Harvest Hayride

Ch Wingslade Ringmaster, ECM ex Ayrshire Quarterflash

If dogs were pieces of furniture, Hayzel would be the couch in the den. A tad overstuffed, a little ragged around the edges, and in need of a good cleaning, but very comfortable and taken for granted.

She was the cutest puppy we’ve ever had, and I’ve been scolded severely for not finishing her.  Her time just didn’t roll around when it should have, and when it did, she was too old and set in her ways to allow herself to be manipulated around a show ring.  She rules the house with an iron fist in puppy fur gloves.  Even the cat backs down when Hayzel gives her “the look.”

If Hayzel could wear clothes, she’d be the spinster librarian we all remember from our childhood. Clothes serviceable and clean and neat, if a little un-stylish.  Tiny pearl earrings and an antique locket around her neck. Sensible shoes and thick stockings, and hair slightly awry from an illicit meeting with the janitor in the hall closet.
