Ygerna was the bitch that everyone dreams about when they begin a breeding program. She finished easily with three majors, and then set about doing what she really loved. . .raising beautiful babies.

She was bred to four lovely dogs over the years, and died in whelp with what would have been her final litter, at six years of age, leaving behind a legacy of quality that we hope to continue to strive for in her memory. She left behind six champion kids and several others well on their way to titles.

There will never be another Ygerna for us. She gave so much more than she ever asked for in return. I will never forget the day she came to us. . .nor the day she left us. Nor will I ever forget the legacy of love she left behind. The colored photos on this page were taken the last morning she was with us. She died in whelp just a few hours later, leaving us 6 beautiful healthy babies. She will never be forgotten.

Xena. ,<sigh>  How this wild child came from a gentle soul like Ygerna will forever be a mystery. She came into the world growling, and hasn’t stopped yet. It means nothing. She wouldn’t harm a hair on anyone’s head. But it’s hard to explain that to someone who’s being greeted with a mastiff-sized growl (even when it’s attached to a wagging tail, and smiling face).

Xena is a challenge to show. But, she's a gorgeous girl, who delights us at home with her escapades and antics...even while we're using her full name, Xena Dammit!
