Du came to me from Mary and Patrick Estes (Johma IGs) in Louisiana. He was co-bred by Anne-Marie Hynes (Loranne IGs). It was my friend Loretta Strang that talked Mary into letting me have him, and I was thrilled. I continued to be thrilled as he finished his championship at 10 months. Du's show career was short and oh-so-sweet. He got started with a best puppy in match at the Dunkirk, MD All Toy Fun Match in Sept. of 2000.

I then handled him for his first three points,

and then handed him over to Charlie Kidd, who finished him before Thanksgiving of that year, ending with back-to-back majors in Columbus, OH.
