S.N.E.D.C.: Stop Now Exploitation of Dairy Cows!

Our Credo: If you want dairy products, lactate your own damn milk!

Our Mission: To reclaim Bovinian udders across the world. Bovine Milk for Bovines!

Background Information: S.N.E.D.C. was inspired by one sad cow. As I drove past a pasture many years ago, I noticed a cow, mooing mournfully. Stopping the car, I got out and crossed over to the fence. The cow (Bessie was her name) moved ponderously, came closer to me. She had tears in her eyes. The cow and I silently communed, as one lactating creature to another.

Suddenly, an idea hit me like a bolt of lightning: She was mourning the loss of her milk! She felt unempowered, disenfranchised by the exploitation of her udder. She felt that she had no ownership of her own body. Horrified, I tried to imagine how it would feel to be stripped of my milk, which would then be sold to the highest bidder, without any compensation or control over how, when or where the milking occurred.

Our communal mourning turned almost instantly to rage at her powerlessness. I vowed to that dairy cow that I would do everything possible within my power to end such exploitation. And so S.N.E.D.C. was born.

How you can help:

• Boycott all cow-derived dairy products.
• Stage protests at dairy farms. (Chain yourself to the milking machine and chant, "Bovine Milk for Bovine Babies!")
• Induce lactation in yourself, and encourage others to do the same. (Start those hormone shots, gentlemen!)
• Write your Senator and ask him/her to support Bill #555-1212 (Bovine Anti-Exploitation Bill), which requires all food manufacturers to substitute soy or human milk for cow milk whenever possible. It also requires dairy farmers to gain the cow's permission to sell her milk, and to compensate the cow for her milk.

Don't strip Bessie of her milk! Don't allow her to be yet another exploited female! Join us in our struggle for Bovine Freedom!
