| I started collecting animation art many many moons ago, back in 1992. At that time I was mainly buying cels. Since those were the salad days, before mortgages and multiple cars, I could afford to pay a good deal for some nice pieces. I also had a lot of time back then to send away for signatures (Bill Cosby, Peter Laird, Chuck Jones and a whole collection of art from Tom Yohe). Then there was a long stretch when I bought nothing (*sniff* *sniff*). Starting in October of 1997, I began buying animation art again. Now, I buy mainly drawings and pre-production art. I also tend to limit myself to spending no more than $100 per piece. The crash of the animation art market has made this quite easy! Almost all of my art is original production art...I believe that limited editions are a joke (glorified posters that sell for rediculous amounts). Some of the pictures may be a bit distorted because I was too lazy to take the art out of the glass. Behold... |
