This website, which I created in October 1997, was "lost" by America On Line in June 2002 because of technical difficulties they had with their servers.  Many websites were lost during this time and America On Line's explanation was abruptly stated that because of technical problems some websites were no longer accessible.

It took an enormous amount of time and effort over a four year period to create the Haynes Family Genealogy website but despite this I enjoyed sharing and helping, and meeting other interested researchers. Although I have most of these files on my computer, I have no plans at the present time to reconstruct the website as it was.

If you are interested in the Hayneses. . . . .

Bartholomew Haynes 1717
(of Northumberland Co. PA)

David Haynes 1720
(of Mecklenburg Co. NC)

James Haynes  1723
(of Iredell Co. NC)

You can contact me at chrishayne@aol.com  I would enjoy hearing from you and learning about your family. There are many branches I am still looking for and I have a strong desire to establish the true ancestry of these brothers.

The Coddle Creek ARP Church, Mooresville, Iredell County, North Carolina  celebrated it's 250th anniversary with a "Homecoming-Reunion" on Sunday, October 19th, 2003.  The keynote speaker was Reverend Peter Marshall and a picnic dinner was held on the church lawn.  It was a beautiful fall day and there was a very large crowd attending. Our ancestor, James Haynes, was among the first members of this church, which was organized in 1753.  James Haynes died in 1789 and his tombstone (photo) is one of the oldest stones remaining in the Coddle Creek Church Cemetery.
