Watching the Wheat [Back] [Home] [Next] Volunteer to Help! Your willingness to help is greatly appreciated. To be able to tell you how to help I need to know what skills you have might to share. First tell me about yourself: Your name Your mailing address (I will withhold from the Internet upon request...it is my preference to have this information since email addresses change frequently and street addresses less often) Your email address (preferred method of communication) and your URL (I like to look at the competition... ;) just kidding!, but I do like to see other genealogy sites) Next...Your skills: Do you have a scanner? If you have a scanner, you could volunteer to scan pictures for others to be included in the photo album on this website or scan pictures of tombstones to be included on state resources pages on this website. Photographs would need to be in GIF or JPEG format. Yes, I have a scanner and am willing to scan pics for others to be used on this website. Sorry, no scanner. I would if I could though! Do you have the knowledge of HTML or how to build webpage? If you have the knowledge to build webpages and to write HTML, you could submit pages to be added to this website, maybe take charge of a state resource page on this website, or build your own page to be linked to with a CLANTON Family Webring. What's a Family Webring you ask? Follow this link to the Surname Web, oh inqusitative one, to see examples use this link. Select ALL that apply to you! Sorry! I have no HTML skills. Yes, I have a website. I am interested in starting a CLANTON Family webring. I have knowledge of HTML. I would like to maintain a state page on this website. I would like to maintain a foreign country page on this website. Do you have spare time and like to type? If you have a home computer and love to type, maybe doing extracts would be an area you would like to work in. You could volunteer to have CLANTON relatives send you copies of their wills and deeds, etc. and extract the information for them and submit copy to website to be included in appropriate areas of this website. Yes, I would love to do extracts for others. If I knew what an extract was or how to do an extract, I would be happy to help. Spare time? What's that? Are you near a library and willing to do research for others? And finally, if you like to do research and just can not seem to get away from the library...maybe you have a crush on the local librarian <grin> then you could volunteer to do lookups for individuals on the Internet or at your local library. Maybe you are in Washington state and your CLANTON line of research is in Maryland, and you need that obituary of Uncle Richard; if you volunteer to do lookups in your area you might be able to trade research time with someone else in Maryland. Select ALL that apply! I have a wonderful library in my hometown. I would love to do lookups for "cousins"! I know the County Court Clerk by first name. I have a wide selection of newspapers available to me. Reading obituaries is my "other" hobby! The County Courthouse is off limits to me. I spend too much time at the library. The Mormons lock the doors when they see me drive up. And finally...Any additional comments: Thank you! Note: If your browser doesn't support forms, please email me. Back to Contents Page
